Pelican Outlet Total Phosphorus

explanation of phosphorus

This first graph shows the comparison of total phosphorus loading between years. As is typical with streams in Minnesota, the spring thaw combined with spring rains produces the highest phosphorus loading of the year. 2011 was a typical year for phosphorus loading at this site.

The Pelican Outlet total phosphorus concentration is usually the same as the concentration in Fish Lake, since that is where the water is coming from.
