Bob Creek Inlet Total Phosphorus This first graph shows the comparison of total phosphorus loading between years. As is typical with streams in Minnesota, the spring thaw combined with spring rains produces the highest phosphorus loading of the year. 2011 was a typical year for phosphorus loading at this site.
In 2011, phosphorus loading peaked in April and May, which is typical for spring thaw. In addition, the Red River Valley had minor flooding in the spring of 2011, which influences high water levels near Pelican Lake. The rest of 2011 was similar to the historical average.
